MY LIFE LIST

I have to admit, I am a big fan of Ellen Degeneres. Her show is just so fun to watch, helping me forget some of life's little worries. This season, which is the 4th, The Ellen Degeneres Show (check out her website too : www.ellentv.com ) is going to be a great one, not only because she has a new and handsome DJ (DJ Johnny) but also because Ellen encourages everyone to do a Life List, a list of goals to fulfill let's say in 10 years or before one reaches a certain age. I am turning 37 on Tuesday, and I feel that it's about time to list down some of the few things that I really really wanted or dreamed of doing, at least, before I reach 40, which only means that I have 3 years to accomplish these goals and dreams. Here is my very own Life List...

1. Start reading books again no matter how busy I am, and a few books in my list are:
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (5th book)
Harry Potter and the Half- Blood Prince (6th) I have got to finish these two books before the 7th arrives.
Robin Cook's books : Vector, Toxin, Shock, Terminal, Acceptable Risk and Chromosome 6

2. Learn Mandarin ( I only know Hokkien, and it's about time I learn the Chinese' National Language)

3. Learn to play Golf, and when I do, play a round of golf with my husband and son, at least every other month. ( We cannot do it every weekend - we don't have maids to look after our two girls )

4. Exercise more !!!

5. Learn to dislike rice ( It's just one of the reasons why it's so hard to have a flat tummy, no matter how hard I workout)

6. Learn to be more patient.

7. Make sure to start the day with a happy and good attitude.

8. Practice singing at least twice a week, to warm up my vocal chords instead of yelling at my kids.

9. Experience traveling on a cruise with the whole family...a weekend cruise to Mexico will be a great start.

10. Go out and take photos of nature, then post them on my site.

11. Start reading at least one verse from the Bible each night, before I sleep.

12. Make my ebay seller's account a real business, and take it seriously.

13. Work while my kids are in school and make more money.

14. Redesign our bedroom...I'm just sick of color blue...

15. Repaint the inside of our house...make it really stylish and bold...

16. Finish the cross-stitch that I started 5 years ago...(this is the toughest ever!!!)

17. Start biking once again and enjoy the nice weather here in Carlsbad.

18. Get an insurance here in the States ( the one I got from the Philippines is not enough...)

19. Visit Singapore once again and checkout the changes from the last time I've gone there. ( lived there in 1994 to 95)

20. Plan another vacation to Manila, and meet all my friends and relatives we weren't able to see on our last visit there. Go to Boracay or Cebu or Davao.

21. Pay off my credit card bill and start living debt-free.

22. Go to Washington DC and see the famous monuments there and the White House.

23. Watch The Ellen Degeneres Show live.

24. Experience wine tasting in some vineyards and wineries here in California.

25. Play Monopoly with my kids at least thrice a month.

26. Start joining breakfast dates with my friends here in Carlsbad once again, and stop being so anti-social.

27. Save money and buy a slingbox for my husband. His job requires him to travel a lot and he sometimes misses some of his favorite tv programs, with slingbox, he could watch them whether he is in another state or country (as long as there's internet connection, of course!)

28. Stop buying very expensive branded bags. The bag that I bought from Taipei Airport last August should be my last.

29. Visit Prague, (the capital city of Czechoslovakia) with my Sister-in-law ( She has been there, and told me how pretty the place is). I just wish that I will have lots of money by that time, so that I can pay for her plane fare.

30. Watch Piolo Pascual's concert and see how great he looks in person...try to steal a kiss when I can . (har har har...jologs!)

I know that there are still more to come...but so far, these are what I know I can fulfill in 3 years. How about you? Are you thinking of making your own Life List? Go ahead and start writing it down now...Goodluck and God bless!!!
